The pilot of the brand spanking new TV show called Revolution has premiered and it jumped right into the action. It's not your Walking Dead but a world of its own. A world where there's no more power and only a few survivors hold the secret to restoring it again. The survivors want to overthrow the militia and re-establish the United States while the militia wants the secret to restoring electrical power to gain new traction and rule the country.

1. It's not like the Walking Dead
When I first heard of Revolution I thought it was going to be a copy of The Walking Dead for primetime television. And I actually would’ve liked that. But for better or worse, it’s not like The Walking Dead despite some similarities such as a semi post-apocalyptic setting, many characters, and roughing it out without power.
The Walking Dead audience gets to watch the entire story unfold from beginning to end as Rick Grimes wakes up from a coma right after the apocalypse and has to find his family and others in a lonely empty world full of zombies.
This Revolution pilot jumps right into 15 years after the power outage and the conflict between the two groups. You’re left figuring out who is who and what is what. I liked that because it got right to the action, but didn’t like it because I didn’t feel a true connection with the struggle and each character as I have with The Walking Dead. I’m assuming there will be many flashbacks to discover the entire story as Revolution progresses.
2. The lead character is a female and hot
For one of the first time’s ever we have a lead female role in a pretty big drama, especially one with so many characters. Most of the time, the lead role is a man like Rick Grimes in the Walking Dead or Enoch 'Nucky' in Boardwalk Empire. This should be fun to watch for both men and women. Tracy Spiridakos stars as Charlie Matheson. Tracy has appeared in "Supernatural," and "Psych."
Here's a too hot to show photo of the lead actress at GQ. WHOA!!

3. One of the main characters is Gus Fring from Breaking Bad
I’m stoked that one of the best actors who played an amazing role in the emmy award winning Breaking Bad has a major role in Revolution and it doesn’t disappoint.
Giancarlo Esposito plays Captain Tom Neville who is part of the militia and a typical bad ass, authoritative asshole. He also played the role of Gus Fring, the largest meth distributor in New Mexico, on AMC’s Breaking Bad and was Walter White’s archnemesis.
Giancarlo knows how to create suspense just using his face.
4. About 6 main characters
Revolution has many characters but 6 main ones.
Hero: Miles Matheson plays the uncle who will help his niece and nephew stop the militia.
Hero: Charlie Matheson the headstrong niece of Miles who wants to stop the militia
Hero: Rachel Matheson, Charlie’s step-mom who teams up with Charlie against the militia.
Hero: Aaron Pittman, a computer genius who used to work for Google who has no fighting skills.
Villain: Nate Walker, who serves the militia but has feelings for Charlie.
Villain: Captain Tom Neville, a tough militia leader who usually visits the communities to restore the militia’s power.
Villain: General Monroe who served in the military with Miles but is now the head of the militia:
5. A fight for both world power and electrical power between an army and the people
There was a power outage and everyone lost real power: electricity. The people who have metaphorical power are the militia but the people who have the secret to how to restore the electrical power are a select few within the community. The militia wants to get this information from these select few to have both the metaphorical power and electrical power to rule the world again.
6. The pilot: What happened
There was a huge power outage that cut off power to the entire world. Everyone is living in small communities while there’s a huge militia overseeing everything and assuming all authority. Each militia member has a branded M on their left wrist representing the militia and General Monroe, their leader.
The story starts 15 years after the power outage with a small community where a select few hold the secrets to restoring power in a flash drive.
The militia being lead by General Monroe has come to find out that someone knows something about restoring the power and now want to figure out who knows what.
The select few don’t want the militia to discover this information because they fear what the militia would have too much power.
Due to certain spoilers, which I won’t mention (you should watch the pilot) Charlie has to find her uncle Miles to go to where the militia resides and save her ki******d (spoiler) younger brother.
