Filming of a new movie called "JOBS" starts today starring Ashton Kutcher as Steve Jobs.
I can't fully imagine Ashton Kutcher playing Steve Jobs just yet, because I've rarely seen Ashton Kutcher in a serious role except for The Butterfly Effect. Perhaps Ashton Kutcher's light-hearted attitude will actually work in his favor when playing Steve Jobs though, since Jobs always came across serious - but cool.
It focuses on Steve Jobs' life from 1971 to 2000. I'm not sure why they're stopping at 2000 since so much happened with Apple products after that. Maybe they'll stop right about when Apple really began taking off with the invention of the first iPod which was released in 2001. It was all UPHILL after that! The producers say it's been:
"months of exhaustive research and interviews with Steve Jobs' friends, colleagues and mentors to develop the most truthful and gripping picture of Jobs' life."
Steve Wozniak who was Steve Jobs' partner and who also enjoyed the film, Pirates of Silicon Valley (film about the rivalry between Apple and Microsoft), says:
"I hope they get things very accurate as far as personalities, characters and what incidents had meaning. I hope they don't over-dramatize it. The real events that happened were interesting." - Steve Wozniac
Photojournalist, Karen T. Borchers, caught Ashton Kutcher shooting on the film's first day shoot in Los Altos where Steve Jobs grew up.
